Whereas:
President Nemat Shafik has not successfully upheld a safe and secure environment for all students, including the Jewish community, at Columbia University.
Under her leadership, the standards of excellence and diversity that define Columbia's prestigious reputation have not been maintained.
Therefore, we, the undersigned, respectfully request the Columbia University Board of Trustees to:
Fire President Nemat Shafik from her role and prohibit any further employment for her at Columbia University
Appoint a new president who is committed to:
Actively combating anti-Semitism.
Enhancing campus safety.
Upholding the institution's tradition of intellectual rigor and diverse perspectives.
We believe these changes are essential to uphold the integrity and values of Columbia University for the benefit of all students and faculty. No American institution should resemble Nazi Germany in the manner which President Shafik has allowed Columbia to devolve into.
